I’ve never done this before! What’s the process like?
Let me tell you all about it! After your website package has been purchased, I will send you a welcome email detailing all of our next steps. First, I’ll have you fill out a quick questionnaire for me to get to know you and your awesome company a little more! BONUS: Most of the time this step even helps you get to know your company more! Then we will share a secret Pinterest board for you to pin all your website hopes + dreams!
I will create and share a Google Doc website outline for you to fill in all of the website copy for each page. I will also create a Google Doc folder for you to put all of the photos for your website in! I will design the homepage of the website with the look, style and design and have send you a screen video for you to review and okay before I move on. Then we will go page by page until your site is complete!
At the end of the process I will send you a Squarespace tutorial that will teach you how to easily change all content and photos on your site! And of course, I’m always here to help!
How long does the process take?
The process time varies on availability of the client to answer questions and emails! But typically it takes 4 weeks from start to finish.
What platform do you use to design?
I design all my websites in Squarespace. I have designed in a lot of different platforms, but truly believe Squarespace is the most user friendly and easiest for YOU to maintain and update! Once your design is set – updating photos, text, blogs and products is easy as pie. Plus I will always be here to help you with any questions you may have!
How much is Squarespace?
Squarespace hosting has pay by month rates between $16- $26 OR yearly rates starting at $115 (which includes a FREE domain!). I always advise my clients to choose the yearly rates as it is a 40% discount compared to the month to month. BONUS: You will not have to start paying for the site until we are ready to launch it – beacause I am a Squarespace Circle member, the time it takes for me to design it is free!
What if I don’t have a domain yet?
No problem! The great thing about Squarespace, is if you pay upfront for a year of hosting you get a FREE domain main! If you want to pay month to month, we can get your domain through a third party such as Dreamhost or GoDaddy.
What do I need to provide to you to get started?
You will need to provide all of your website copy and photos.
How many pages do I get?
Your website design comes with a standard 6 pages. This usually includes home, about, contact and three other service, blog or product pages. If you need more, no problem! More pages can be added on for an additional fee.
How does payment work?
We have several payment plans set up for you! Check them out to see what best fits your life + schedule!
- Plan A: Pay $1,500 upfront (for a savings of $75 to $100!)
- Plan B: Pay $525 upfront and $525 every week for 2 weeks thereafter
- Plan C: Pay $400 upfront and $400 every week for 3 weeks thereafter
